ISDN BRI-BRI using Dialer Profile

One physical interface can have more than one dialer with different configuration, which mean one physical BRI can make and receive more than one call. But in this lab example we'll only simulate one dialer for one physical interface.

HQ
username Branch password cisco
dialer-list 1 protocol ip permit
isdn switch-type basic-ni

Most of the setting will be issued on dialer interface, on physical BRI interface only SPID

HQ BRI interface
interface Bri0
 no ip address
 no ip directed-broadcast
isdn spid1 32177820010100 //only SPID configure here, no ip address and tel num
dialer pool-member 1 //reference to the dialer interface, can belong to multiple dialer pool
 encapsulation ppp
 ppp authentication chap

HQ dialer interface

interface Dialer1
 ip address 100.11.1.1 255.255.255.0
 encapsulation ppp
 dialer pool 1
 //define the pool group number

dialer remote-name branch //remote site to dial
dialer string 7782001 //local phone number
 dialer-group 1
 ppp authentication chap
